Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a subsidiary of Amazon that provides a range of more than 200 cloud computing services, the most popular and well-known of which include Amazon Elastic Computer Cloud (EC2) and Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3). It is the dominant force in the public cloud IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) space, accounting for almost a third of the total market share worldwide according to recent estimates.
